Spring Greetings from the rain soaked, but beautifully blossoming Northwest!

Thought it was time to say hello and let you know what is happening here at
DavidLanz.com....but before the latest news, maybe just a little music business :-)

The Narada label just had an "artists sale" on all their titles. This saves on the wholesale CD prices paid by their artists (that would be me:-) So now I would love to do the same for you. All of my Narada titles, including Spirit Romance, Skyline Firedance, Romantic, Cristofori's Dream, etc. are all on sale! Follow this link for all the details:  http://davidlanz.com/shop.html

AND NOW FOR THE NEWS:

February was a busy month starting with a very exciting tour of South Korea. Gary Stroutsos, Eric Tingstad, Nancy Rumbel, and I visited and played concerts in the cities of Seoul, Incheon, and Taegu. We also filmed several television programs which I am hoping to get copies of to share with you at some point. Many of our Korean friends turned out to see us perform and we were made to feel right at home! Thank you, South Korea!

March 18th I performed in the Bay Area in the great little metropolis of Vacaville.  The Whisperings SoloPianoRadio.com concert was nearly sold out. Sharing the stage with me were pianists David Nevue, founder of Whisperings, and local hero and Whisperings artist, Scott B. Davis.

The Whisperings SoloPianoRadio.com station had humble beginnings several years ago on the Live365 internet network. It has grown into their number one station (by far!) and I am proud to have been a supporter of David Nevue's vision these last several years. Here is a link to the Whisperings show if you are interested in tuning in:  http://solopianoradio.com

While in the Bay Area I also had the pleasure of giving a piano workshop for my friend and piano teacher extraordinaire, Kathy Parsons, and all her wonderful students and their parents and friends. A good time was had by all :-) I also had another wonderful workshop a little closer to home in Bellevue, Washington, for Diane Chattin and her daughter Bethany's marvelous students!

I am now beginning to compose and conceive new music for an exciting DVD project in collaboration with my old friend, Emmy winning film maker and director of the Natural States and Desert Vision DVDs, Jan Nickman. Jan is capturing awe inspiring High Definition images of magical Southwest landscapes even as we speak. All new original music, featuring Gary Stroutsos and Keith Lowe (from Spirit Romance), and an outstanding musical cast will grace Jan's HD images entitled "Living Temples." We begin recording in the weeks ahead, and hope to unveil "Living Temples" later this year!

My independent solo piano release, "A Cup Of Moonlight," is getting a face lift so to speak with all new original artwork. Several new tracks will be added, and the music is being edited and re-mastered for even better musical fidelity! I will have more on this later this summer.

At present, I have a number of of Northwest shows posted on my site and we are hoping to hear from presenters across the country about addtional 2006 events in the rest of the US and Mexico. I do have to say though, since 9/11, it has been slow going booking tours. I am sure many of you are still feeling 9/11's effects in your own lives. But being the perpetual optimist, I will keep my fingers crossed and will let you know as more performance and workshop dates are added!

OK!! Well I think that is quite enough info for now. As always, I am very grateful for your support and interest in my work. So from my family to yours...many blessings and beautiful bouquets of spring flowers to all!!
